One thing I want to add to my last post!
While I am all about healthy, yummy, clean eating, I am totally not anti-treats! Um, Christmas is not Christmas without peanut butter balls! Even though they have peanut butter (legumes) and sugar–they are delicious, and they have all of 4 ingredients. This does mean I will probably avoid these babies:
Don’t get me wrong, these were my most favorite things in the world growing up, but have you looked at the ingredients?! There are fewer chemical in Windex—for real! I truly believe in having balance in life–there is a time for broccoli and a time for chocolate! For me, as long as I avoid gluten, I can eat desserts without crazy repercussions. However, if your tummy is a lean, mean, gluten digesting machine, by all means have some cake! However, don’t make it a Hostess cupcake that is so preserved it will still be edible in 15 years! Also, once you remove highly processed foods and eat REAL food, these oreos are actually going to taste awful–I know, it sounds impossible, but it is 100% true.
Ok. That is all. Also, I would like to remind every one that frosting is gluten free. I am actually planning to have that carved on my tombstone.
