Trader Joe’s YAY

I love Trader’s Joe’s with ALL of my heart.

Sadly, I do not live close to a Trader Joe’s…in fact the closest one is an hour away(where we lived 1 year ago).

However, my primary care doctor (who is amazing and who I have refused to give up) is located 4 miles away from Trader Joe’s. This is a good thing because I always dread going to the doctor (despite her overall wonderfulness), so I bribe myself with Trader Joe’s goodies!

Here is the loot I picked up today:

1 dozen eggs                          Almond Butter                       Nitrate-Free Deli Chicken

2 bags of of BBQ Popped Chips (my non-Paleo treat for special occasions!)

2 bags of Jazz apples (Best Apples!)              5 bags of semi-sweet chocolate chips (Yes, 5 because they are amazing!)

I realize that this is not a ton of food; however, the apples and the chocolate chips are literally two of my most favorite foods in all of the world. Jazz apples are really hard to find in Bethlehem, so getting TWO bags is wonderful!

I got all of this for $29. I consider that a Frugal Frog win in my book! 🙂

What are your favorite Trader Joe’s products? Anything I should add to my next list?

  1. nice choices! I don’t have one anywhere near me either and get quite jealous seeing all the awesome products people pick up. Last weekend while I was away I did get to pop into one very quickly and saw tons of goodies that I would love to buy.

  4. Unlike you, I was not a smart shopper at the grocery store tonight, and I made the mistake of going to Shop Rite after work when I was so hungry. I ended up buying such random things, like Eggo muffin tops. Really, Pam?! Hope you had a good day!

  5. I love Trader Joes too! I mine is around 20 mins away which I think is too far, I would die if it was an hour! I get most my fruits and veggies there, and looovvveee their banana chips! It’s just bananas and coconut oil! Also buy my wild shrimp there 😀 I’ll have to try jazz apples, never had those before.

  6. Weeee I love Trader Joe’s! While I am at school, I am fortunate to live right near one, but at home..it’s about a 30 minute drive… worth it sometimes 🙂
I love their PB pretzels, caramel corn, pretty much ALL of their nut butters, dried fruits, trail mixes, cereals, and greek yogurt! Hehe so yes, I enjoy TJs

  7. I love Trade Joe’s…. The closest one is over 5 hours away- needless to say the cold items would melt and driving over 10 hours for a TJ’s run isn’t in the budget 😉 There isn’t a thing in that place that I don’t love!

  8. I LOVE TJ’s!!!! Sadly, we don’t ANY in Texas. It seriously makes me so sad. I keep writing on the TJ’s Facebook page, “Bring Trader Joe’s to Texas!!!”, but they haven’t yet. I actually heard Dallas may be getting one and I am willing to make a monthly two hour trek up there to get my goods! 🙂 Yes, I’m crazy like that. Until then I will rely on my mom to send me some of my favorite things such as the almond butter (I see you stocked up-lucky!), trail mixes, oh and the roasted plantain chips- they are delicious! 🙂 Sorry you had to go to the Doc but I’m glad you got to hit up trader joe’s!!

But I have ordered seaweed snacks from amazon … so by default, that’s my fave!

I love shopping at TJ and I am lucky that I live about 5 minutes away from it. I love TJ pumpkin butter, sweet potato gnocchi, dried mango slices, and their soup selections. 🙂

  12. I’m in the same boat with the closest TJ’s being about 45 min from me- boo hoo! Great products from there are the raviolis, dried strawberries, almond butter, chicken burgers, and frozen pizzas. However my 2 alltime favs from there are sesame coated cashews and vanilla joe joes!
