And the Winner is….

We are moving to….

BETHESDA, MARYLAND!!!

(Chase will be working HERE!!! The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center!!! This is the place where he will become a pediatric neurologist! Wooohoooo!

YAY! I am so excited! We are moving to the land of…

Sprinkle Cupcakes! (I can’t eat the cake, but they serve DELICIOUS (naturally gluten-free)  frosting shots!)

TRADER JOE’s!!! Oh, how I have missed my favorite grocery store!

Our first house!!! This is the actual house that we are lusting over. The inside is GORGEOUS. Click HERE!

We get to start the Food & Wine Supper Club with friends that are already living in Bethesda!

(Bethany, I am cutting out recipes already. YAY!)

And, I get to run:

The Marine Corp Marathon! YAY!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and thoughts of encouragement.

Also, if you live in the DC, Bethesda, Nova or Baltimore, holler at me! We can be real life friends now, too! 🙂

I am obsessed with cooking, running and reading! I teach American Literature at the college level, but enjoy books of all kind! After years of GI issues and being prescribed numerous medications, I found perfection in eating Paleo! I am no longer bloated, nauseous, or miserable on a daily basis. I have delved into creating Paleo recipe-making and embracing an active and playful life!

  8. I live in Rockville, just outside of Bethesda. It gets some getting used to the constant congestion and terrible drivers around these parts, but it’s a fun place to live with lots to do! Congrats!!!
P.S. be careful house hunting.. it took us a year and half. Most houses if under $1M are in shady areas, so a townhouse might be a better option, but obviously depends what you are looking for and which areas, each one is different. Let me know if you have any questions, I’m happy to help since this month is only my 2 year anniversary in the area and I remember what it was like being overwhelmed by it all!!

Sally! Charley and I live in Silver Spring! That house is smack dab in between me and my parents. Not shady at all…. I would amend that definition to be anything less than 300K could be shady… but then again, everyone has a different definition! That is absolutely the cutest neighborhood that Charley and I would love to move to (one day, you know, when we have more money than $0)… the Washington Post ran and article about it a couple of years ago– the neighborhood apparently sings Christmas carols in front of a big pine tree in the neighborhood every year. That sounds just like you and Chase to me! Silver Spring is the cutest and most affordable ‘burb. You shall move here. Please and thank you!
